I like how in this article the author Adrienne Rich described coming to school not just to recieve an education, but to claim an education. I have never thought of it like that before. This article describes what it was like for women years ago who were not treated as fairly as men. The article says that women would hide their intelligence to seem more "feminine." I think this was true, but I don't think this happens in todays society. In the past men who teach at women schools have been known to treat their female students as sexual objects. I think that in today's world this is not as big of a problem as it has been in the past. I feel like women students are treated just as fairly as men. I also feel like there are more women students. In the majority of my classes there are more females then their are males. However I do agree with the fact that there are more males in higher authority.
